In-person University Orientation Event Held for Freshmen
For the first time in two years, Seoul National University held the "Freshmen Orientation" event for first-year students of 2022 in a hybrid format by including programs students could attend in person.

SNU CCLC: Sixty Years’ Contribution to Student Welfare
Since the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the number of students suffering from mental health issues has been on the rise. As a means to tackle this problem, the SNU Center for Campus Life and Culture (CCLC) hosted a training session on how to maintain mental health and prevent suicides.

Light-Triggered In Situ Biosynthesis of Artificial Melanin for Skin Protection
Tyrosinase-mediated melanin synthesis is an essential biological process that can protect skin from UV radiation and radical species. This work reports on in situ biosynthesis of artificial melanin in native skin using photoactivatable tyrosinase (PaTy).

Ice front retreat reconfigures meltwater-driven gyres modulating ocean heat delivery to an Antarctic ice shelf
Pine Island Ice Shelf (PIIS) buttresses the Pine Island Glacier, the key contributor to sea-level rise. PIIS has thinned owing to ocean-driven melting, and its calving front has retreated, leading to buttressing loss.
