SNU marked its 78th founding anniversary on October 14 with awards, alumni recognitions, speeches by President Hong-lim Ryu and Alumni President Jong-seop Kim, and a performance by the student club "Meari".
SNUGLITE-III: Launching SNU's Cube Satellite into Space
The GNSS Laboratory at Dept. of Aerospace Engineering has developed the "SNUGLITE-III", a science mission cube satellite selected for the 2022 Cube Satellite Competition by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI). Scheduled for launch on the fourth flight of Korea's Nuri rocket in Nov. 2025.
Vehicle Intelligence Research Team Wins First Place at IROS 2024
The Vehicle Intelligence Research Team, led by Prof. Seung-Woo Seo from the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, achieved first place in the inaugural "Earth Rovers Challenge" at the International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems 2024 (IROS 2024), the world’s largest robotics conference.

Open Discussion on University College Establishment
On Sept. 27, the establishment team for the "University College" (tentative) held its second open discussion, inviting feedback from the SNU community, including faculty and students. The goal was to gather final suggestions and clarify details regarding the proposed plan for the University College.
Breakthrough in Dementia Research: Decoding the Gut-Brain Axis
Prof. Inhee Mook-Jung’s team from the College of Medicine has created a new method to grow nerve cell organoids from stem cells, suggesting these nerves could play a key role in dementia development.
